Some time ago, during emergency repairs at the company, the stripping tower was opened, and it was found that the trays below the sampling line became increasingly clogged as one went deeper into the tower. Why does the blockage get worse as it goes deeper? The blockages on the trays of the stripping tower are generally a mixture of substances such as coke powder, catalyst powder, heavy oil, and naphthenic acid. The increase in these blockages below the side draw points may be related, on the one hand, to the flushing effect caused by the downward flow of the liquid phase, and on the other hand, to the temperature distribution within the stripping tower. In areas with high gas-phase load, the longitudinal liquid-phase flow near the tray is poor.
The water quality is poor; increase the settling time in the storage tank
The operating cycle can be improved by replacing the anti-clogging internal components of the tower, and it is generally possible to maintain this condition for up to 1 year.
