Dear experts, I have a question: we have a gasoline stabilizer tower, and there is something similar to rust on the walls of the tower. Please help us analyze what could be causing this issue. The temperature inside the stabilizer tower is 145°C, the top pressure is 0.45 MPa, and the top temperature is around 50°C. There is also a diesel preheating heat exchanger at the bottom of the tower
This is normal inside the tower; it’s caused by corrosion! How long has it been running?
Corrosive oxidation is normal and is related to the sulfur content of your raw material
Sulfur in gasoline causes corrosion; otherwise, there would be no need for subsequent gasoline refining systems!

This is mainly a naphtha stripping tower; it shouldn’t be the problem behind that, right? Could it be related to temperature, medium, and sulfur content?
