This is just my personal opinion, for your reference. More low-pressure nitrogen is extracted from the lower column, reducing the main cooling load. For the lower column, the amount of liquid nitrogen produced decreases; for the upper column, the steam generated by main cooling decreases, so it is necessary to adjust the amount of liquid nitrogen fed into the upper column accordingly. If not adjusted synchronously, the lower reflux ratio will decrease, leading to a decline in the purity of liquid nitrogen, while the upper reflux ratio will increase, resulting in a decline in the purity of liquid oxygen.
