At present, the various units are in operation, and water is generally injected at the tops of each distillation tower to dilute the mixture and reduce corrosion caused by the oils. This results in a high total amount of acidic water within the company. Is demineralized water and fresh water the types of water that are typically used? I would like to ask whether it would be possible to use purified water obtained from stripping units, or water treated through wastewater treatment systems or reclaimed water generated from medium-water treatment, instead of injecting water at the tower tops I wonder if any refineries have used it in this way? To minimize the amount of wastewater discharged by the company, we are currently looking for solutions.
Since water injection is intended to reduce oil corrosion, shouldn’t we consider whether there are suitable chemicals available?
It is mainly to reduce the amount of wastewater that needs to be treated later. Considering the corrosion caused by chloride ions, if it can be tolerated, why not consider using purified water?
There is a corrosion inhibitor added. Can purified wastewater be used as a solvent to prepare corrosion inhibitors? Are there any units that have been used in this way?
Can’t the solvent be used directly from the material in the reflux tank? That way, no water will be introduced. That’s how we do it
How can the current level of corrosion be reduced by using the original solvent directly?
