The oil circulation in the middle section of the distillation tower is intended to remove excess heat and thereby raise the temperature of the stabilizer. However, sometimes, after the stabilizer has absorbed all the heat available, the temperature returning to the tower is not sufficient, which results in the 95-degree value for diesel not meeting the required standards. How to solve this problem?
This indicates that the heat extraction in the three sections is not reasonable; it is caused by excessive heat extraction from the oil slurry system at the bottom. It is possible to reduce the amount of oil slurry circulating at the bottom and increase the flow rate of the fluid returning from the middle section, so that the heat from that area can be removed through the reflux from the middle section!
In other words, by reducing the amount of slurry that returns to the tower, heat is directed upward, which raises the temperature at the upper part of the tower. If the temperature becomes too high, then the amount of material returning from the middle section of the tower is increased so that that section can remove the excess heat. Don’t limit yourself to one location; you can increase the temperature of the distillation section throughout the entire distillation tower. The amount and temperature of other cycles can also be adjusted. Can diesel only be controlled using mid-range control? Process control is not like this!
