After each shutdown of our catalytic desulfurization tower, a thick layer of magnesium oxide (about 50 centimeters) accumulates at the bottom of the tower, and it must be removed manually (there are distribution pipes for the oxidizing air). After the desulfurization tower at the bottom of the thermal coal-fired boiler was shut down, a large amount of gypsum accumulated at the bottom of the tower (at a height of about 1.5 meters), and manual cleaning was required (since there are no distribution pipes for the oxidizing air at the bottom of the tower). Is there any good way to deal with this? How to avoid it? I’d appreciate advice from the experts: handshake
It seems that only manual cleaning was done.
The mixer is up there and the depth of penetration is very short; the desulfurization tower is very large. I’ll clean it manually for now – everyone, please think of a solution :(

We use the PDS soda ash process; it has been observed that during maintenance when the air volume decreases, a large amount of granular deposits appear at the bottom of the regeneration tower. These deposits are slightly smaller in size than mung bean seeds and are blue in color
There is also a mixer inside the desulfurization tower
