Dear everyone: Since the concentrated ammonia solution produced by the originally designed ammonia evaporation tower is generally at 8-10%, in order to ensure desulfurization efficiency and minimize the amount of concentrated ammonia solution that enters the desulfurization system (thereby alleviating the problem of excess liquid in that system), we intend to increase the concentration of the concentrated ammonia solution to around 20%. We are planning to modify the ammonia evaporation tower. Do any of you have experience with successful operation or modification of such systems? Also, please advise on how to solve the problem of blockage caused by concentrated ammonia solution.
Concentration increased! Efficiency reduced! Simple modifications alone won’t solve it!
Is there any good solution upstairs? It can not only increase the concentration of concentrated ammonia solution but also address the problem of pipe blockage caused by salts in concentrated ammonia solution. Thank you

The new process I’m aware of involves adding more trays to separate the acidic gases from ammonia vapor for extraction.
