Generally, it is due to unstable operation, fluctuations in reflux, fluctuations in heat removal at the tower bottom, fluctuations in feed to the stabilizer, and fluctuations in system pressure. It could also be due to unstable distillation operations or an excessive amount of light components in the feed oil
Fluctuations in the feed rate and feed temperature of the stabilizer tower; Switch air cooling ; The reflux ratio is not appropriate ; If the liquefied gas delivery is set to automatic, the PID parameters are not correctly configured ; Large fluctuations in bottom temperature ; Severe water carryover in the stabilizer feed stream ; The thermal bypass switch has a large amplitude ; Fluctuations in the bottom temperature of the desorption tower lead to issues such as non-condensable gases entering the liquefied gas reflux tank.
Check for cold reflux carrying water or off-set cooling at the tower top.
It is usually caused by water being present; it could also be due to high water temperature, which leads to an excessively high return temperature and thus offset flow. There are several other possibilities as well, such as a malfunctioning control valve, a faulty pressure gauge transmission system, or blockages in the water cooling system
Has there been a significant change in the feed? Has the cracking reaction ahead intensified or decreased? Is there water present in the feed?
Could a small amount of water cause pressure fluctuations?
