Kunshan Keloanz acid and alkali waste gas spray tower, acid mist scrubber, wet dust collector – what is a spray tower? A spray tower, also known as a washing tower, water scrubber tower, or purification tower, is a commonly used device in gas-liquid reaction systems. In these systems, waste gas comes into contact with liquid in a counter-current manner; through this washing process, the gas is purified, of dust is removed, and its temperature is reduced. It is currently widely used in the treatment of industrial acid and alkali waste gases. What is the working principle of a spray tower? Industrial acid and alkali waste gases enter the spray tower under the action of a fan. In the spray layer of the spray tower, the nozzles emit the absorbent solution, which is evenly distributed over the packing; the exhaust gas comes into full contact with the absorbent solution on the surface of the packing, where a reaction takes place. Acidic substances in the exhaust gas such as HCl, NO2, and NH3, which are soluble in water, are almost entirely dissolved in the absorbent solution, where they react to form harmless salts and water, thereby achieving the purpose of purifying the exhaust gas. The purified gas will be saturated with moisture; after the moisture is removed by the demisting device at the top of the tower, it is released directly into the atmosphere. The absorption solution is prepared according to the properties of the pollutants and can be reused. Features of the spray tower: a. The spray tower has high efficiency in dust and sulfur removal. When alkaline cleaning water is used, the desulfurization efficiency can reach 85%. b. The equipment requires little space and is easy to install. c. The indices for water and electricity consumption are low. d. Corrosion-resistant, wear-free, and long-lasting. e. The equipment operates reliably and is easy to maintain. Precautions for using the spray tower: a. Regulation of circulating water flow: This is determined by the water supply pump of the spray tower; one pump can be used when one boiler is in operation. In winter, when two or three pumps are operating simultaneously, all of them should be turned on. The flow rate of the slurry pump should be adjusted according to the maximum allowable circulating flow rate. Make it equal. b. Dosage in the dosing tank of the spray tower: When the boiler is in operation, 2 bags of alkali and 5 bags of lime are added in winter; if there are two or three sets of boilers, the dosage can be increased accordingly. C. The spray tower sedimentation tank should be cleaned regularly: once a week in summer, and every three days in winter. When draining the graywater separator, during each shift change drainage, the drain valves should be opened separately until clear water is discharged. e. The above rotating components should be regularly inspected, lubricated, and any faults resolved promptly to ensure effective removal of sulfur from the spray tower. f. When going up and down stairs, be careful, and maintain awareness of self-protection as well as the safety of others. G. Clean the sanitary facilities promptly after work so that people can walk on the construction site.
