During a recent safety review of the reservoir area, experts suggested that all pre-pump filters should be equipped with static electricity grounding in accordance with the \"Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises\" 2008. My concern is that the filter itself is located very close to the pump, and the pump is grounded. Both the pump and the filter use metal gaskets for their flange connections, there are more than 8 bolts used, and steel plates are also used for bonding purposes. Is it still necessary to provide a separate grounding connection?

If it’s managed as part of the equipment, then it must be done; in fact, the experts have already suggested how to do it, so there’s no difficulty at all. You should respect the experts’ opinions. You shouldn’t have acted this way this time; next time, if they ask you to make changes elsewhere, it will be troublesome for you
