I would like to ask fellow sailors: should the pump inlet be drained before or after the filter? I have encountered both scenarios; I’m not sure what the advantages and disadvantages of each are, or which scenario is preferable
The standard piping setup includes an inlet valve, filter, drain valve, reducer, pump, outlet reducer, pressure gauge, check valve, drain valve, and outlet valve.
