For pump couplings, is a spline coupling better or a pin coupling better?

A reminder from the design institute: Nowadays, most design institutes use disc-type types with extended sections. Although plum blossoms do not require high alignment, they transmit low torque. The toughness of the pin is lower than that of the disc, but better than that of the plum blossom shape.

The pin is great! For two couplings of the same size, the price of the pin is slightly higher.
