According to the barrel theory, the shortest plank determines the amount of water that can be stored; by the same logic, in a mechanical device, the weakest part is also the one most likely to fail. It is recommended to install a pressure gauge on the pipeline to measure the pipeline pressure first. Under high pressure, the machine itself is prone to problems, and the motor shaft is precisely the weakest part, which is why it fails first. I have been on site before and encountered this issue as well. Under high pressure, the most common problems with general metering pumps are membrane rupture, bearing failure, and motor burnout. There are also many situations that cause high pressure; the first is excessive pipeline pressure or head, and the second is a blockage at the outlet.
