Why is a vent oil cap installed on a plunger pump? Our factory uses 380-type three-plunger high-pressure washers, which are equipped with an oil vent cap on the top of the pump casing. However, oil leakage occurs during operation of the pump. Is it possible to install an O-ring to seal this area? Could this prevent gases from escaping after the oil inside the pump evaporates, thereby causing the pump’s temperature to rise and affecting its service life?
