Treatment method: (1) Remove dirt and check whether the internal components are damaged ; (2) Adjusting gear clearance: If the gear side clearance is 30%~50% higher than the average value, the gear should be replaced ; (3) Reassemble the gears to maintain a taper fit with a contact area of 75% ; (4) Replace the bearing ; 2 Impeller and wall panel, top of impeller and casing ; II. Excessively high temperature of the Roots blower: (1) Too much oil in the tank, oil that is too thick, or oil that is heavily contaminated ; (2) Filter or *clogged ; (3) Pressure is higher than the specified value ; (4) Excessive wear of the impeller, large clearance ; (5) Poor ventilation and high indoor temperatures result in high inlet temperatures ; (6) The operating speed is too low, causing the belt to slip. Treatment method: (1) Lower the oil level or remove oil ; (2) Remove blockages ; (3) Reduce the pressure difference across the blower ; (4) Repair gap ; (5) Install ventilation openings to lower room temperature ; (6) Increase the speed to prevent the belt from slipping. IV. Insufficient flow rate of the Roots blower (1) Clogged inlet filter ; (2) Impeller wear, with excessive increase in clearance ; (3) Belt slipping ; (4) High inlet pressure loss ; (5) Pipes cause ventilation leaks. Solution: (1) Remove dust and blockages from the filter; (2) Repair the gaps ; (3) Tighten the belt and increase the number of strands ; (4) Adjust the inlet pressure to the specified value ; (5) Inspect and repair the pipes. V. Oil leakage from the Roots blower or oil seeping into the casing: (1) The oil level is too high, causing oil to leak out through the oil discharge port ; (2) Sealing wear, resulting in oil leakage at the shaft end ; (3) Pressure is higher than the specified value ; (4) The vents on the wall panels and fuel tank are blocked, causing oil to leak into the casing. Solution: (1) Lower the oil level ; (2) Replace the seal ; (3) Unclog the vents; install a plug with a 2mm aperture in the intermediate chamber, and open the plug beneath the wall panel ; VI. Immediate shutdown in case of abnormal vibration and noise in the Roots blower: (1) The clearance of the rolling bearings exceeds the specified value, or the bearing housings are worn ; (2) Excessive gear clearance, misalignment, and loose fixation ; (3) Impact between impellers and between impellers and the casing caused by foreign objects and dust ; (4) Impeller collision caused by overload and shaft deformation ; (5) Friction between the impeller and the inlet of the casing caused by overheating ; (6) The impeller loses balance due to scale or foreign objects ; (7) The anchor bolts and other fasteners are loose. Solution: (1) Replace the bearing or bearing housing ; (2) Reinstall the gear and ensure proper side clearance ; (3) Clean the blower and check whether the casing is damaged ; (4) Check the back pressure, verify whether the impeller is aligned, and adjust the clearance accordingly ; (5) Check the filter and back pressure, and increase the clearance between the impeller and the inlet of the casing ; (6) Clean the impeller and casing to ensure the proper working clearance of the impeller ; (7) Tighten the foot bolts and level the base. VII. Overload of the Roots blower motor (1) A large pressure difference compared to the specified value, that is, a high backpressure or inlet pressure ; (2) Compared to the flow rate required by the equipment, the fan’s flow rate is too high, resulting in increased pressure ; (3) Clogging of the inlet filter, obstruction or blockage in the outlet pipeline ; (4) Collision and friction of rotating components (sticking) ; (5) Oil level too high ; (6) The narrow V-belt is overheating, vibration is excessive, and the pulley is too small. Treatment method: (1) Reduce the pressure to the specified value ; (2) Release the excess gas into the atmosphere or reduce the blower speed ; (3) Remove obstacles ; (4) Stop the machine immediately and check the cause ; (5) Adjust the oil level to the correct position ; (6) Check the belt tension and replace it with a pulley of larger diameter ;
(4) The vents on the wall panels and fuel tank are blocked, causing oil to leak into the casing. Where is this vent? Do all rotary vane blowers have them?
