I’m facing a material selection issue; I’ve checked many manuals but haven’t found any reliable and suitable materials. Please offer some suggestions
Please provide the components of the brine solution, as well as the concentration of chloride ions
The T2 sections are corroding piece by piece and have developed holes
I’m not exactly sure about the details; that’s all the information I have. The material of T2 is suffering from severe corrosion
The corrosion resistance of titanium and titanium alloys is also limited at high temperatures; as the temperature rises, both the rate of metal anodic dissolution reactions and the rate of cathodic depolarization reduction reactions increase. This should also be the reason for the severe T2 corrosion.
If a pump is needed, consider a fluorine-lined pump; the inlet part is made of PFA fluoroplastic. We have such pumps, and the contact information is available in my documents. If you’re interested, please get in touch with me.
Yes, titanium and titanium alloys are fine at normal temperatures; high temperatures accelerate corrosion. T10 is being considered, but it probably still won’t solve the problem – it will only delay it
TA10 will definitely improve, you guys haven’t even checked whether duplex stainless steel is a viable option.
I took a look; duplex steel probably won’t work
Low concentrations are manageable; there are many types of duplex steel used in offshore oil applications, with the medium being seawater at normal temperatures. Most brines that are currently supersaturated with the medium won’t work
