The mechanical seal manufacturer has never seen oil dripping on the sealing surface. The old fitters used to assemble mechanical seals, especially non-cartridge mechanical seals. * If you are used to dripping a few drops of engine oil on the end face and lifting one ring of the moving and stationary rings, you can often suck the other ring to prevent it from falling, so as to verify whether the sealing surface is intact. It's an empirical operation.
It should drop, right? We all know that there is an oil film on the sealing surface to reduce wear.
The pump needs to be left on for a long time when shutting down for maintenance.

Normal seals are flushed, and the sealing fluid and flushing fluid are mostly diesel. Before starting the pump, the seal flushing system should be kept running. In this way, it does not matter even if it is not smeared.
