When filling a constant-level oil cup, is it necessary to fill the cup with oil first, then turn it upside down on the horizontal branch pipe, insert it all the way in, and finally tighten the fixing screw? Because if it’s not inserted all the way, it’s not possible to ensure that the highest point of the wedge surface on the oil feed tube is aligned with the centerline of the ball at the lowest part of the bearing, right?

Check the installation instructions provided by the oil cup manufacturer and assemble it according to those instructions.
The planar height of the oil cup is designed during pump manufacturing and cannot be adjusted. If it isn’t inserted all the way in, the oil in the oil cup will run out quickly.
At this time, there are the old-style oil filler caps; the new ones are a bit more complicated and also a bit more expensive, but they work very well.
