Issues in selecting vacuum pumps for purchase. When purchasing a vacuum pump, there are two basic parameters: pumping speed and ultimate vacuum level. However, it’s difficult to determine these two parameters, so how can I choose the right model and make the purchase?
When purchasing, the vacuum level required for use should be specified; it’s not the ultimate vacuum value of the pump that matters. The ultimate vacuum value is a parameter used to determine whether a pump is of high quality, while the pumping speed is determined by calculating factors such as the amount of evaporation and leakage in the system.
The pumping speed generally needs to be determined based on the amount of non-condensable gas and leaks in the system, and it serves as the pumping speed for the unit. The ultimate vacuum level represents the highest vacuum degree that the unit can achieve once the working fluid has been specified; it is a measure of the unit’s quality. There are also dry vacuum pumps, which do not involve any working fluid
