Originally, an ISW200-400A centrifugal pump was equipped with a 22kW 4-pole motor. Is it possible to reduce the flow rate to around 100 cubic meters and increase the head to over 35 meters by simply changing the diameter of the inlet and outlet pipes? Urgently seeking help.
Look at the pump’s performance curve to find the head corresponding to the flow rate. With this approach, the pump is not in its optimal operating area, which reduces its lifespan and efficiency as well as leading to poor energy savings.
The key point is that the impeller in your pump has been cut; either tell us the original flow rate and head of this pump~~~
It turns out the pump has a capacity of 192 cubic meters and a head of 28 meters

Are you sure it’s the ISW200-400A and not the ISW200-315A? The flow rate and head don’t seem to match. You can close the outlet valve to reduce the flow rate; check how the pump vibrates – if the vibration isn’t severe, you can keep using it as is
But a head of 35m cannot be achieved

This post was last edited by foam_ZPTK on 2018-1-17 at 10:40. By using an impeller with a different maximum diameter, the head can approach 35 m; increasing the speed via frequency conversion can also raise the head. Frequency conversion drive is not recommended for ordinary motors
