The WFB self-priming pump – after filling it with water, the first attempt at self-priming worked fine. But after shutting it down, the second attempt to start it failed; water could not be drawn in, and it was necessary to refill the pump before it could self-priming again. The check valve is in good condition, as is the solenoid valve. The outlet rises vertically by two meters – what’s going on? Did the water inside the pump chamber get expelled along with the water in the outlet pipe?
The broken siphon solenoid valve is not open, the check valve is leaking, and due to the siphon effect, a large portion of the water in the pump is drawn back again. It is recommended to remove the anti-siphon solenoid valve and install an internal thread ball valve; after stopping the pump, open the ball valve to utilize the anti-siphon principle and then close it, so that the liquid inside the pump will not be sucked back
Good imported solenoid valves – when the siphon effect occurs, could it be that the fluid is being drawn towards the outlet?
If there is no water inside the self-priming pump after it stops working, just replace the solenoid valve! If water is needed and the pump has to be pumped again, then check whether there is a blockage in the inlet pipeline. There are plastic or woven bags and things like that:victory:

We encounter this situation during routine maintenance, but it’s not only new pumps – it often happens that after filling with water to start the pump, it fails to deliver the required flow rate when started again. Finally, the solenoid valve was removed and a plug was installed for testing; it turned out to be the battery valve that was leaking.
