Mechanical seals are divided into driving ends and non-driving ends. What are the differences between these two seals and how to distinguish them? And the reasons for the different installation locations and hanging directions? I hope you can attach a picture to help answer the question.
Prescribing the right medicine for the situation, and prescribing medicine without seeing what the pump looks like is a waste of time:)
The seals that distinguish the rotation direction are generally PLAN23 or 52, 53 and dry gas seals； The sealing factory will type the drive end (non-drive end) on the sealing gland or have a rotation direction mark on the sealing gland. If there is none, face the sealing gland and drill the small hole for the BO outlet in the same direction as the rotation direction of the equipment. Because the seals of the above flushing solutions all have a pumping ring (pump efficiency ring), which is equivalent to an impeller. The purpose is to circulate the buffer or spacer fluid.
