I have a few questions regarding canned pumps. 1. As far as I know, the motors of canned pumps do not have any cooling mechanism; so how do these pumps dissipate heat?; 2. When stopping a shielded pump, the inlet valve should be closed first before the outlet valve; what is the principle behind this? What would be the consequences if the outlet valve were closed first? I hope the experts can help me answer my questions

1. A canned pump relies on the return flow of the medium to lubricate and cool the bearings; this is the pipe that leads from the pump outlet to the rear end of the pump; 2. When shutting down a canned pump, the outlet should be closed first followed by the inlet; the pump must not be emptied, as doing so will result in the bearings running dry due to a lack of lubrication, thereby damaging them.
