The common faults of circular vibrating screens include uneven stress on the screening surface, excessive accumulation of material on the screen surface, overheating of the vibrator, poor screening quality, insufficient rotation speed of the screen machine, overheating of the bearings, and abnormal noises during operation. So, how should these faults be resolved when they occur? First, the stress on the sieve surface is uneven. This uneven stress is mainly caused by issues such as the belt drifting during feeding or the funnel becoming blocked, which result in uneven material distribution; too much material accumulates on one side of the sieve while the other side is almost empty, leading to damage to the sieve mesh ; The distance between the circular vibrating screen and the funnel is too large; when aggregates enter the vibrating screen from the funnel, the impact force at the feeding point is considerable, which can easily lead to the breakage of the beams at the feeding point as well as cracks in the screen box. To address uneven feeding, a distributor can be installed at the belt ; Adjust the distance between the funnel and the circular vibrating screen, etc. Second, too much material accumulates on the screen surface. When there is an excessive amount of material on the screen, the amplitude is low, which results in a slower movement of the material across the screen; this puts strain on the screen. In severe cases, it can lead to damage to the screen, breakage of the frame, and damage to the springs. We can solve this by increasing the slope of the screening surface, or by adjusting the amplitude, that is, by adjusting the eccentric block. Third, the vibrator overheats. The main reasons for this are prolonged operating time and high friction in certain areas; the vibrator can be lubricated by using high-quality grease. Fourth, poor screening quality is mainly due to clogged screens, high moisture content in the material to be screened, uneven feeding of the material, excessive accumulation of material on the screens, and loose screens. The machine should be stopped immediately to clean the screen, the water supply during the screening process should be controlled, feeding should be done evenly, accumulated material should be removed promptly, and the screen should be tightened to ensure its proper performance. Fifth, an insufficient rotation speed of the screen machine and an overly loose conveyor belt are the main factors causing slow rotation speed; operators should tighten the conveyor belt in a timely manner to adjust the rotation speed of the screen machine. 6. Bearing overheating: Bearing overheating is mainly caused by a lack of lubricant in the bearing, excessive dirt in the bearing, too much lubricant applied, or lubricant of substandard quality, as well as bearing wear. When this occurs, it is necessary to promptly inspect the relevant areas and take appropriate actions. This can be achieved by injecting lubricant in a timely manner, cleaning the bearing, checking the sealing mechanism and replacing the sealing rings, examining the amount of lubricant applied and its quality, and replacing the bearing when necessary. 7. Abnormal noise when the sieve machine is in operation: When the sieve machine produces abnormal noises during operation, the operator should promptly check for wear on the bearings, the tension of the sieve mesh, the tightness of the bolts, and any damage to the springs. They should then replace the worn bearings, tighten the sieve mesh, secure the bolts, and replace any damaged sieve mesh. During long-term operation, sand production lines may experience various faults. Some of these faults may not have an immediate significant impact on the sand production process, but in the long run they can severely affect the equipment’s service life. Therefore, regular inspections and maintenance of the equipment are highly necessary; they allow problems to be identified and resolved promptly, thereby extending the equipment’s service life.
