When installing a centrifugal pump, how is the thickness dimension of the adjustment washer for the pump’s impeller (item 9) determined?
Follow the instructions or consult the manufacturer. The thickness of the compressed gasket should be measured as a reference during disassembly. Due to the different sizes of the pumps, the required thickness of the gaskets varies. For reference.

Are the gaskets you mentioned used to control and adjust the gap between the impeller and the impeller backplate?
Examine the pump’s drawings carefully; if you look at the details, there are problems. There are problems in at least two areas; the axial positioning method is incorrect.
