We are currently using a pneumatic diaphragm pump, with a diaphragm made of polytetrafluoroethylene; its lifespan is not long. I would like to know what other types of pumps would be suitable The material consists mainly of particles with a size of 8-10 microns, with a small amount of particles having a size of 3-5 millimeters; the solid content is around 30%
Magnetic drive pumps or vortex pumps can be considered. Magnetic drive pumps, lacking dynamic seals, avoid leakage and frequent maintenance issues, making them suitable for transporting materials with small particles and a high solid content. Due to its special impeller design, the vortex pump is capable of transporting media containing solid particles, especially when the particle diameter is large. The appropriate material can be selected based on actual usage conditions to extend the pump’s service life. .

What are the flow rate and head? Magnetic pump is definitely not suitable; I have corrosion- and wear-resistant slurry pumps with double-end sealings, which can also ensure no leakage. You can contact me through my profile picture
With such a high solid content, magnetic pumps definitely cannot be used. A centrifugal pump equipped with a double-end face seal and a flushing system can be chosen; the specific choice depends on the actual operating conditions on site
