When using a manual rehydration pump, you need to open the exhaust valve on the top of the sealed tank to exhaust.

Is the top connected to nitrogen or is it vented? It depends on whether your plan is Plan52 or Plan53. If it is Plan52, it will be vented. If it is Plan53, it will be connected to nitrogen.
