We invite everyone to share their insights and engage in discussions, to cheer for Made in China and to support the development of chemical processing equipment! ========================== In 2014, Jinggong Development Company of Bohai Iron and Steel Group successfully rolled the world’s largest ring forging in a single attempt. This forging had an outer diameter of 10 meters, a height of 140 millimeters, and a wall thickness of 400 millimeters; it effectively ended China’s long-term reliance on imports for high-end large-scale ring forgings with a diameter of over 7 meters. The head of Bosteel Group said that the creation of this world’s largest ring-shaped forged part signifies that China’s manufacturing capacity for large-scale ring-shaped forged parts has reached a world-leading level, representing a new breakthrough in the field of major technical equipment in China. 　　It is understood that the main equipment used for rolling this forging, namely the ring rolling machine, was imported from the German company Simmering. Previously, similar equipment could process ring forgings with a maximum diameter of 9 meters. With this equipment, Bosteel Group can produce large ring forgings with a maximum diameter of 10 meters or a maximum height of 2.5 meters, the largest in the world. Large ring forgings can be widely used in high-end equipment manufacturing industries such as nuclear power, defense, offshore wind power, aerospace, petrochemicals, construction machinery, bearings, and shipbuilding.
