Recently, the Tianjin Academy of Scholars and Experts for Collaborative Innovation in the field of energy and chemical engineering, which was proposed by HDTC Tianjin Branch in collaboration with the team led by Academician Gao Jinji from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, successfully passed the evaluation process organized by the Tianjin Association for Science and Technology. It was officially approved as one of the first batch of such centers in Tianjin for 2022. The center will fully leverage the technical leadership of Academician Gao Jinji’s team from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, as well as the extensive technical expertise accumulated over many years by CNOOC Development Tianjin Institute in the field of explosion prevention, in order to accelerate efforts related to the development of strategic frameworks in the field of explosion safety for energy and chemical industries, the research on key technologies, and the building of a skilled workforce. From the perspective of systems engineering, the center will strengthen basic research on accident prevention theories and technologies, and carry out targeted development of production safety monitoring and early warning technologies as well as risk control technologies, in order to address the critical challenges faced by the industry and achieve comprehensive improvement and upgrading in the field of explosion-proof safety through automation.
