Replies will be rewarded – discussions are welcome. ---------------------------------------------------------- On June 6, 2022, the largest piece of equipment in Sinopec Balin Petrochemical’s project for the relocation, upgrading, and transformation of its caprolactam production chain was lifted onto land: the purification unit converter absorption tower, with a total weight of 913 tons. The upper section of this absorption tower weighs 470 tons; the lower section weighs 410 tons. The equipment was manufactured in Suzhou by Zhanghua Machinery. Due to its large length, the manufacturer produced it in three sections. On May 3 of this year, it was transported via waterway along the Yangtze River to the Daorenji temporary heavy-load dock, and from there it was transported by land to the construction site for assembly on site. After three months of on-ground assembly and the corresponding testing experiments, on September 5, 2022, the first tower of this facility – Tower 001, a 100-meter-high tower weighing 1,000 tons – whose function is to absorb transformed gas in the hydrogen-ammonia processing unit, was completed
