Industrial silicon futures are listed and traded on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange

The first product listed on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange – industrial silicon futures – will be officially traded starting from the 22nd. 　　The first batch of contracts to be listed for trading are SI2308, SI2309, SI2310, SI2311, and SI2312 – a total of 5 contracts – with all of them having a benchmark listing price of 18,500 yuan per ton. 　　On the first day of trading, the margin requirement for industrial silicon futures contracts was 10% of the contract value, with price limits set at 16% of the listing price. 　　If the contract is traded, starting from the next trading day, the trading margin requirement will be 10% of the contract value, with price limits set at 8% of the settlement price from the previous trading day ； If the contract is not traded, the trading margin level and price limit ranges applicable on the first day of listing will continue to be in effect on the next trading day. 　　The trading hours for industrial silicon futures contracts are from 9:00 to 10:15, 10:30 to 11:30, and 13:30 to 15:00, Monday to Friday (Beijing time, excluding statutory holidays), as well as at other times specified by the exchange. 　　The Guangzhou Futures Exchange was established in April 2021 and is China’s first exchange with a mixed-ownership structure.
