The conference honored the technological advancements and innovations achieved in China’s nitrogen fertilizer and methanol industries in 2019, as well as the units and individuals that made outstanding contributions to energy conservation and emission reduction. SHANGLI POWER’s \"360,000 tons/year high-efficiency multi-functional nitric acid production unit\" was awarded the First Prize in Science and Technology by the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association.
The production of nitric acid in our country began in 1935, but the integrated technology for nitric acid production machines has always relied entirely on imports. In order to break free from the situation in which China’s integrated technology for nitric acid production units is dependent on others, the employees of Shaanxi Gear Group keep their eyes on international competitors, striving forward on the path toward local production of such units while continuously improving their technical capabilities. Currently, the scale of these plants has gradually formed series, which can be categorized into large-scale nitric acid production units with capacities of 100,000 tons per year, 150,000 tons per year, 180,000 tons per year, 270,000 tons per year, 360,000 tons per year, and 450,000–600,000 tons per year. Among them, the 360,000 tons per year nitric acid production unit developed independently by Shaanxi Gas Turbine not only increased the scale of dilute nitric acid production but also broke the foreign technological monopoly, providing technical support and a development platform for creating nitric acid production units on an even larger scale ；
The self-innovated \"dual-pressure nitric acid four-in-one unit\" has seen sales of over 100 units in both domestic and international markets. Meanwhile, there are nearly 30 turnkey project contracts in the nitric acid sector, providing domestic and international clients with comprehensive system solutions and services covering the entire process from ammonia synthesis to nitric acid production； The independently developed \"technology for utilizing waste heat and pressure in nitric acid production reactions\" has been included in the **Catalogue of Key Energy-Saving and Low-Carbon Technologies**, enabling the large-scale and domestic production of devices for recovering waste heat and pressure in nitric acid production processes. Thanks to its environmental friendliness, energy savings, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction benefits, this technology is increasingly favored and recognized by users in the chemical industry. Today, it is widely used for energy recovery in the nitric acid production processes within this sector.
In June 2020, the 360,000-ton/year nitric acid plant in Chongqing operated by Shangdu as the general contractor was successfully put into operation. This plant is one of the largest nitric acid production facilities in China at present. The entire unit operates efficiently and stably, with all performance indicators being satisfactory; the quality of the unit, its reliability, and the personalized service provided have received high praise from Chongqing Huafeng.
