While improving performance, it has reduced the production cost by nearly 20% compared with the first-generation catalyst. R&D personnel screened more than 150 raw material formulas, selected appropriate bonding aids, catalyst roasting methods and temperatures, and optimized the catalyst preparation process. Just one step away from success, the research team encountered unexpected difficulties - in the industrial scale-up test, some key parameters of the catalyst did not match the laboratory results. Faced with the high cost of scientific research in industrial scale-up tests and the urgent need for enterprises to improve quality and efficiency, scientific researchers repeatedly compared the sample analysis results in industrial scale-up tests with laboratory results. During the day, they went to the device site and followed the production team to keep an eye on the process parameters. At night, they returned to the laboratory for simultaneous verification and troubleshooting the causes of abnormalities. Eventually, they discovered that the problem lay in the roasting part of the experiment. In order to accurately control the baking temperature of the catalyst in the device, the research team introduced expansion blocks used for firing in the ceramic industry, which solved the problem of inaccurate temperature measurement inside the reactor during the industrial scale-up test. After one year and four rounds of verification, the research team conducted a total of 6,000 hours of evaluation tests, corrected parameters such as oxygen content and temperature at each stage during the catalyst roasting process, and achieved industrial scale-up production in February this year. “The road to innovation is not easy to follow, and you will often encounter obstacles and even failures.
