Recently, driven by the enthusiasm of the \"Six Comparisons and Six Innovations: Striving for Excellence\" themed labor competition organized by Sinochem Sanhua Construction, the lifting operation of the heavy equipment – the oil unloading arm – in the port area of the Lobito project, which is under the responsibility of the Angola company, was successfully completed. The owner, Angola Petroleum Company, and the relevant officials from the supervising company, KBR of the United States, were present to witness it. Since the launch of the labor competition, the Lobito project team responded actively to the call, integrating the competition requirements into every stage of the project construction. Overcoming various challenges such as the complex construction environment abroad and the difficulties associated with equipment transportation, they carefully formulated lifting plans and repeatedly reviewed the operation procedures, ensuring the successful completion of this lifting task. The completion of this lifting operation marks the official transition of the project from the civil construction phase to the new stage of equipment installation. It is not only an important achievement of the project team in earnestly implementing the requirements related to the \"four innovations\" and promoting high-quality construction of overseas projects, but also a fruitful result of the \"Six Comparisons, Six Innovations, and Striving for Excellence\" labor competition carried out at the overseas sites. Of the oil unloading arms to be lifted this time, two of them weigh 38.5 tons and are 22.3 meters tall, while eight of them weigh 31.5 tons and are 22.5 meters tall. Faced with challenges such as the highly humid and salty corrosive environment by the sea, as well as the high precision requirements for lifting large-scale equipment, the project team developed specific anti-corrosion measures and specialized construction plans. By strengthening control throughout the entire process, and through strict implementation of safety procedures and real-time monitoring, a comprehensive risk assessment was carried out. This approach enabled the successful resolution of the technical difficulties associated with constructing the large-volume concrete foundations for the loading arms, ensuring that the lifting operations were carried out safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Such diligent efforts demonstrated the strong capabilities of Sanhua Construction in carrying out projects abroad.
