Recently, MCC Coking & Refractory successfully secured a contract for the thermal repair project of Kazakhstan’s Qarmet No. 7 coke oven. This is another significant victory for MCC Coking & Refractory in overseas markets, following the signing of the EPC general contract for the construction of coke ovens No. 8 and No. 9 with Qarmet on April 11 this year. It not only signifies further success for MCC Coking & Refractory in the Kazakh market but also represents the introduction of its industry-leading technology for heat repair of coke ovens abroad, adding yet another emblem reflecting Chinese technical expertise and service quality to the grand vision of the Belt and Road Initiative. Qarmet is the only integrated steel plant of long process in Central Asia and a pillar of Kazakhstan’s industry; it holds significant influence in the steel sector of Central Asia.
