On February 19, the pneumatic jacking operation for the first storage tank at the Jiangsu Huadian Ganyu LNG Terminal – a key project aimed at improving the interconnection of natural gas infrastructure and the first LNG receiving station in the country to involve a state-owned power enterprise – was successfully completed. The project plans to build 3 LNG storage tanks with a capacity of 220,000 cubic meters each. Lifting operations, also known as roof lifting, represent the most complex and difficult-to-control stage in the construction of LNG storage tanks. The principle is similar to blowing up a balloon: 4 high-power specialized fans generate a steady stream of air, which enables the nearly thousand-ton \"steel cap\" to be firmly placed on top of the storage tank, which is over 50 meters high, achieving millimeter-level precision in positioning.
