Dongfang Shenghong plans to launch a project to improve the quality and efficiency of its aromatic chemicals industry chain

On April 9, Dongfang Shenghong announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hongke New Materials, a company at the third level of ownership, had signed a Memorandum of Intent for Cooperation with the Management Committee of the East-West-Central Region Cooperation Demonstration Zone. The agreement calls for investing in the Lianyungang Xuwei New Area to establish new projects aimed at improving the efficiency of the aromatic compounds industry chain. It is reported that the total investment for this project is expected to be around 13.33 billion yuan, with the investment period yet to be determined. The construction will presumably include 10 key production units, such as ones for producing 150,000 tons per year of TDI, 50,000 tons per year of HDI, 300,000 tons per year of PC, 240,000 tons per year of caustic soda, and 240,000 tons per year of bisphenol A.
