What is the difference between 97# ethanol gasoline and 97# clean gasoline? Under the same conditions, is it easier and more profitable to produce 97# ethanol gasoline?
The difference between ethanol-blended gasoline and regular gasoline lies in whether ethanol is added. 97# ethanol-blended gasoline is made by mixing 90% regular gasoline with 10% fuel ethanol. First, a base gasoline mixture with an octane rating of around 95.3 is created; since ethanol has an octane rating of approximately 111, then 10% or 15% ethanol is added, which raises the octane rating to 97. This type of gasoline is generally denoted as E10 (97#) or E15 (97#)； 97# clean gasoline refers to gasoline in which no ethanol is added, and the constituent oils are directly blended to achieve a 97 octane rating (manganese additives are usually included). In terms of performance, 97# ethanol gasoline should be better than clean gasoline, but the exact figures are not known
Under normal circumstances, ethanol-blended gasoline with the same grade performs better than regular gasoline, but the extent of this improvement depends on the specific formulation of the gasoline.
