I’ve encountered small-scale projects where the designs provided were completely unusable; I had to determine the routes on my own. Now the pipes run along a structure that resembles 3 steps. When digging the trenches, I had to decide on the locations for the slope changes by myself. Have any seniors encountered this before? How do you decide on the locations for the bends?
The location of the elbow should be determined by the depth of the land being sold.
As for the horizontal position, it relies entirely on experience – there are no drawings

Some designs get stuck on a minor issue: due to insufficient research by the designers, it is only during construction that the difficulties are realized. Based on the on-site conditions and with flexible adjustments to the design as a reference, it is not necessary to insist on strict adherence to the original design; attempting to do so often results in wasted effort and resources, along with future problems.

If the designed diagram isn’t usable, go and observe the site in person; once you’re familiar with it, a more reasonable solution will always emerge. I think we should first consider the layout of the pipeline positions, ensuring they comply with the regulations, and only then focus on ease of construction; the elbows don’t necessarily have to be 135 degrees or 90 degrees
The long-distance pipelines we construct don’t have sharp bends; the maximum angle is around 30 degrees
