Doing this is unnecessary. From a safety perspective, painting a device that is in use poses risks such as burns, short circuits, and electric shocks; it’s better to stop using it first before painting. Moreover, the materials used for pipes are already corrosion-resistant, so the purpose of painting is indeed to prevent corrosion. If it’s done for aesthetic reasons, then go ahead and paint it.
