During the loading of propylene, how is the residual propylene in the loading arm and the tank car generally handled?
Our facility is far from the factory and does not have a flare emission system.
The hose is connected to the tank truck; if a dry quick connector is used, this portion of propylene can remain in the flexible hose.
It is recommended to use a flexible metal hose for evacuation. The drain line must be grounded. Petrochemical regulations require that liquefied hydrocarbons not be discharged on-site
I agree with you; I just wonder where the material for the safety valves of the pipes would go if there were no torches
