Generally, two types are used together: a side-mounted float or magnetic flap, and a top-mounted radar level gauge. If it is a scale rod in the form of a side-mounted float, it can be made manually taking corrosion and durability into account: the rod is constructed using the cover plates of fiberglass cable trays; after the surface is polished, it is painted with two coats of high-impact resistance white paint. Then, markings and numbers are created using a perforated template, and these are painted with high-impact resistance red paint. It takes just one day to produce a set of such scales. This solution is economical and practical.
