The oil pressure of the reciprocating compressor is low; the oil pump was inspected and found to be in good condition. I’d like to ask if anyone knows of other possible reasons for the low oil pressure
Low oil level in the oil tank; Oil pipeline blockage ; Leakage at flanges, pipelines, and safety valves ; Main oil pump failure ; The bearing shell clearance is not appropriate ; Excessively high oil temperature, issues with the quality of the lubricating oil, and problems with the instruments.
Here’s a less common one: coolant cooler leak……

The gap in the slide is large and easy to overlook
Let’s start by checking from the simplest aspects first. Examine your coarse filter and fine filter first; generally, compressors use gear pumps, so there are usually no issues with them
Bearing clearance, or the clearance between the two screws of a screw pump. Or is the oil filter clogged?
There are many reasons for low oil pressure: 1. The gear oil pump has large gaps itself; 2. Filter clogged ; 3. The main reason is the large gap in the connectors ; For example: spindle bearing clearance ; Connecting rod big bearing clearance ; Crosshead clearance 4, oil pipeline leakage in the crankcase ;
Problems with gear pumps, problems with filters, problems with pipelines
If the oil temperature is not high and the oil pressure is low, and leaks in the oil cooler, pipelines, and valves have been ruled out, it is usually due to the pump.
