The wire-feeding system is adopted; that is, the interconnections between electrical instruments have their wires supplied by the electrical team to the instrument terminals. With the terminals as a boundary, it is easy to determine which side has the fault.

Electrical and instrumentation systems are inseparable – that’s exactly what this means.

Our instrumentation and electrical department is one workshop; even though it is just one workshop, the division of tasks is clear. The boundary for electric heating is the terminal at the instrument cabinet, while the boundary for on-site wiring boxes is the terminal there; in other words, if there is high-voltage electricity at the terminal of the instrument cabinet or wiring box, then there is no electrical issue, but if there is no electricity at those terminals, then there is an electrical problem.

What about instrument points on some large-scale equipment? Such as the temperature measurement point on the electric shock?

Electrical and instrumentation systems are inseparable; it’s just arguing over that.

In our company, there are two separate teams for electrical work and instrumentation. The electrical team supplies 220V power to the circuit breakers in the instrumentation control cabinet, and that’s it. Everything below the 220V power supply, including the 220V instrument control system, is the responsibility of the instruments themselves. :)

The temperature measurement points, speed measurement points, and vibration measurement points for motors and large-scale units are all provided by the instruments themselves.

Large companies usually have separate workshops for electrical work and instrumentation work, while smaller factories handle both electrical tasks and instrumentation work together; there’s not much to discuss about that. :D

This is our own summary of the division of tasks among electrical instruments; we hope it will be useful to you. Division of responsibilities between instrument and electrical engineering fields: 1. The overall framework for dividing tasks between electrical and instrument-related work is based on their respective design drawings, with each party being responsible for its own area. If some of the other party’s equipment requires tuning and maintenance, invite them to carry out the maintenance, but they are not responsible for inspections or spare parts. 2. Industrial instruments and DCS are under the responsibility of the instrument specialty ； UPS, PLC, and ESD are managed as part of the equipment accessories (digital signals; their primary function of switching on and off is under the responsibility of the electrical engineering team) ； Analog signals, whose main function is regulation, fall under the responsibility of the instrumentation department ； If both are present, it is the specialty with the higher score that is responsible). 3. Once inside the terminal box for the instrument power supply, all power supplies for the instruments are under the responsibility of the instrumentation team ； The signal wires entering and leaving the instrument control room are separated by terminal blocks; the electrical side is under the responsibility of the electrical team, while the instrument side is under the responsibility of the instrument team ； The power supply box, terminal cabinet, and terminal blocks are the responsibility of the instrumentation team. 4. Electrical distribution room – The testing, control instruments, and accessories located at the installation site are the responsibility of the electrical team (including relays, solenoid valves, timers, and time limiters, etc.) ； Instrument control room – The detection, control instruments, and accessories at the plant site are the responsibility of the plant instrumentation team. 5. The maintenance of combustible gas alarm devices is the responsibility of the instrumentation team ； The maintenance of smoke detectors, fire alarms, and other fire alarm systems is the responsibility of the electrical department. 6. The electric cut-off valve of the device is the responsibility of the electrical department ； Electric control valves are the responsibility of the instrumentation department. 7. Analytical instruments, weighing room measurements, networks, surveillance, and office automation fall under the responsibility of the instrumentation department; however, the main power supply is the responsibility of the electrical department ； Telephones, wired networks, television, and walkie-talkies fall under the responsibility of the electrical department. 8. Computers used for office work and production in the company are under the responsibility of specialized personnel ； The electrical operation computer interface is only responsible for the maintenance of the bare machine; the installation and debugging of specialized software are handled by the electrical team.
