For the self-acting valve used for nitrogen sealing, can a bypass be added as required by the client, just like in ordinary control valves? Is that feasible?
Few self-pressurizing valves that I have seen are equipped with a bypass. I think setting it up has only advantages and no disadvantages. But since it is \"self-powered,\" its importance isn’t that high; it’s fine if pressure isn’t applied during a fault.
A bypass is usually added, taking maintenance into account.
The site is crowded, and the piping looks unsightly. It’s usually not done; the first phase of the project doesn’t have any auxiliary lines either. People are afraid of being criticized by workers and of being laughed at by those in the industry.
A secondary line is not necessary, but it can be disabled at any time as long as it does not interfere with maintenance.
Bypasses should be added; otherwise, if there are problems with the control valve, production will have to be halted for repairs...
Sure, a flow-limiting orifice plate can be installed on the branch line to prevent too high a flow rate through the manual valve. . .
Self-acting pressure regulators are rarely considered for maintenance, and bypasses are generally not used. The owner demands it to be added; the owner is God: lol
Thank you all for your help; after my repeated requests, the property owner agreed to compromise. Without the bypass and the front and rear cuts, it’s much cleaner.
