There is a thin pipeline connecting the dual filters of the compressor; what is its function?
When switching filters quickly, the filter remains in operation. It is called zero-barrier switching.

This connecting line is used for stamping the new filter before switching it in~ It ensures that the pressure difference between the two filters is small before the switch, thereby preventing large pressure fluctuations that could trigger an interlock shutdown of the unit.
This should be a connecting line, through which pressure can be applied to and air can be removed from the backup filter. Turning it on during switching helps maintain stable oil pressure during the transition.
In other words, while the switch valve is in the process of switching, fluid flows from the inlet of the first filter through this thin tube into the second filter. Once the switching action of the valve is complete, no more fluid enters the inlet of the first filter; instead, fluid flows in from the second filter. Thus, the filters continue to function normally during the switching process. There is no need to shut down, complete the switch, and then restart. That’s more or less what it means.
The dual filters operate in tandem, with one serving as a backup. When one of them becomes clogged, it needs to be removed and cleaned; after cleaning, the filter is put back into use, and at that point this thin wire (usually equipped with a flow control orifice plate) is used to fill the filter, thereby preventing excessive flow rates and low lubricating oil pressure, which could cause the compressor to shut down due to interlocks.
Is it a balance tube with a small manual valve in the middle?
