The high-pressure cylinder rotor of the CO2 compressor in our plant’s urea production unit has been eroded on several occasions; the three-stage separator and the four-stage heat exchanger have both been replaced. I wonder whether it is still because the moisture content in the CO2 produced during synthesis has not been removed What is the impact of the delayed construction of the four-stage inlet separator on the liquid level?
In fact, as the pressure in the CO2 compressor increases, the moisture content in the CO2 is gradually removed; by the time it reaches the three-stage outlet separator, very little moisture remains in the CO2, so it is not possible to establish a liquid level. If there is a high liquid level in the three-stage separator (or the four-stage inlet separator), it needs to be removed regularly and promptly. Additionally, the temperature at the four-stage inlet should be kept at a higher level.
