What to do if you’re on the wrong side or with the wrong person? After spending time with this person, it became clear that they are a hypocrite (always using long-term considerations to deceive you); when it comes to key technical aspects, they won’t let you learn about them or keep up with them. He tricked me into following him simply because he valued my computer skills and typing speed (to type for him as a secretary), and moreover, this manager wasn’t very well-liked by the general manager. Having followed him for so many years, his skills are not as good as mine yet his salary has increased significantly, while mine hasn’t changed at all. Additionally, there were other leaders who appreciated me and wanted to transfer me, but their efforts were also blocked. Why resign? Should I go directly to the HR department to request a job transfer, or talk to the general manager? Or should I consider changing jobs?
