50-degree self-limiting heating tape for insulation cables. What does that mean? This is what it looks like on the drawing: Circuit name – Tertiary amine metering tank A, electric heating. Equipment capacity/calculated current: 3.5/8 kW/A. Wire type and specifications: ZRYJV-1KV-4X2.5. Control wire type and specifications: ZRKYJV-1KV-7X1.5. Note: Self-regulating temperature electric heating tape. I can’t understand the notes below. Note: For insulation cables, use 50-degree self-regulating temperature electric heating tape, model HS-DWK380-30W-P. --------------------------------------- Does “insulation cable” refer to electric heating tape? “Does a “self-regulating electric heating strip” also refer to electric heat tracing? "The electric heating tape HS-DWK380-30W-P means that the heating tape operates at 380V and 30W, right? So, does the 3.5kw mentioned above refer to multiple 30w electric heating tapes combined to achieve 3.5kw?

If it’s designed according to the drawings and a power output of 3.5 kW is required, wouldn’t that mean 100 heating elements would be needed? I understand that the thermostat controls the temperature of the electric heating element. Under normal circumstances, the thermostat can be controlled by a PLC, right? And does 50 degrees refer to the upper temperature limit?
