Does a pneumatic air hammer not have a motor? Is the pneumatic air hammer started using a solenoid valve?
On the drawing, it’s a pneumatic air hammer – is there any difference between this and a regular air hammer?
It can do without a motor; in fact, when a motor is present, it functions as an air compressor. It’s not a solenoid valve; it’s a faulty valve.
The diagram shows the output of the air hammer, as well as the 24V electrical signals for on and off states. How are these electrical signals generated? ? It’s a switch driven by a pneumatic signal; does it just need 24V connected to both ends of the switch? ? Is there a dedicated one for this device?
^_^That is the operating voltage or signal voltage of the solenoid valve; when it is time for the hammer head to move, the signal is switched on or off. This device is controlled by a pneumatic-electric interlock system, so both the circuit diagram and the pneumatic circuit diagram need to be considered. The device you’re referring to might be an operation handle or a air release valve; of course, there are also dedicated ones for this purpose.

I find this diagram rather strange; it shows only the switch signal sent from the air hammer to the upper-level controller, with no electrical signals used to control the air hammer. In other words, the only signals related to electricity are those that indicate the activation of the air hammer and the deactivation of the pneumatic valve. Electricity has no control over the air hammer at all. Does such a pneumatic valve even exist?
Yes, electricity has no control over the air hammer; originally, air hammers do not use electric drives – they are all pneumatic, with electrically controlled valves or manually/foot-operated valves.
